Keffi Legislative crisis: I remain Speaker, Rabo insists

Rt. Hon. Muhammad Nasir Rabo, Speaker of the Keffi Legislative Council, has reaffirmed his position as the legitimate speaker of the council, contrary to claims of impeachment by a group within the legislative council.

Rabo claimed to have learned of the alleged suspension through social media while attending a function with Executive Chairman, Dr. Muhammad Damagani, following the successful screening of appointees.

Rabo emphasized the importance of adhering to the law in governing institutions and dismissed the actions against him as baseless rumors that have no place in democratic governance.

The Speaker, urged the public to disregard the rumors surrounding his alleged impeachment, emphasizing that these claims are intended to distract the council members from performing their legitimate duties and undermine the progress of the council.

Rabo assured the public that the council remains committed to its responsibilities and will continue to work towards the development of Keffi Local Government Area. He called on the public to remain focused and supportive of the council’s efforts to deliver quality services to the people.
