Akwanga APC Stakeholders endorse Tinubu, JJ, Umaru, Ven-Bawa for 2nd term, Gov. Sule for Senate in 2027
….Receives over 200 defectors from PDP, LP
Stakeholders of the All l Congress (APC) in the Agyaga electoral ward of Akwanga North State Constituency, Nasarawa State, have endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in office.
They have also endorsed Governor Abdullahi Sule to contest for the Senate seat to represent Nasarawa North in the National Assembly
While the Akwanga/Nasarawa Eggon/Wamba Federal Constituency, and Hon. Larry Ven-Bawa, representative of Akwanga North at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, have been endorsed for second terms because of their laudable achievements.
This endorsement was part of a stakeholders meeting held in Akwanga Local Government Area involving leaders from Akwanga, Wamba, and Nasarawa Eggon LGAs.
The meeting, themed “Unity, Progress, and Consolidation for Greater Service,” aimed to strengthen party unity and support key leaders who have contributed to the development of the zone.
The stakeholders praised President Tinubu for appointing sons and daughters of Nasarawa North to strategic federal positions and commended Governor Sule’s developmental focus and leadership.
They expressed strong calls for Sule to accept the Senate candidacy after his tenure as governor. The endorsement reflects the stakeholders’ commitment to supporting policies for improving livelihoods in the district .
Hon. Monday Magaji, Councilor representing Agyaga electoral ward and Speaker, Akwanga LG Legislative Council announced their endorsements during APC Stakeholders meeting in Agyaga community, the Headquarter of Agyaga electoral ward today Sunday.
He said that the endorsement of Tinubu, Sule, Reps Umaru and Hon Ven-Bawa was due to their good leadership styles.
Magaji said that the meeting was aimed at uniting the people, strengthening the party and mobilize the people of Agyaga ward in support of the Government of the day at all levels.
“The meeting unanimously endorsed the following candidates for continuity come 2027. His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for continuity.
“His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi A Sule for Senate come 2027, Hon. Larry Ven-Bawa, Chief whip and member representing Akwanga North Constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly for continuity come 2027.
“Hon. Dr. JJ Umaru, member representing Akwanga, Wamba and Nassarawa Eggon Federal Constituency for continuity come 2027,” he said.
He assured them of their readiness to mobilise support for them to come out victorious in 2027 general elections.
It was reported that Rt. Hon. Sunday Hassan, former Speaker of Akwanga Local Government Legislative Council moved a motion for their endorsements And was seconded by Hon. Sa-shi Goria, a member of Akwanga West Area Administrative Council, Rinze.
The stakeholders unanimously endorsed President Tinubu for second term, Gov. Sule for Senate, Reps Umaru and Hon. Ven- Bawa for second term respectively.
In a related development, the Ward APC Chairman received over 200 decampees from the opposition party to the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) where over 100 from PDP and over 100 from Labour party defected.
It would be reported that stakeholders in attendance were, the Rt. Hon. Speaker, Akwanga LG Legislative Council, Rt. Hon. Monday Magaji, APC Chairman, Akwanga LGA, Hon. Abbas Liman, Former Speaker, Akwanga LG Legislative Council, Rt. Hon. Sunday Hassan, former DPM Akwanga West Administrative Area Council, Mr. Danjuma, Hon. Abamu Koko, among many other stakeholders of Agyaga electoral ward.
