Nigerian Bar Association Lokoja Branch to Honour Barr. Tanko with Special Distinction Award on Sept 24, 2025

The Nigerian Bar Association Lokoja 2025 Law Week and award presentation is scheduled from September 19 to 24, 2025, to honor distinguished individuals for their contributions to the legal profession.

Among the honorees is Hon. Barr. Muhammed Tanko Musa Osuku, Executive Chairman of Kogi State Civil Service Commission, recognized for his significant impact on jurisprudence and commitment to the development and ethics of law in Nigeria.

A letter addressed to Barr. Tanko Osuku, signed by S.A Abbas Esq., Chairman of the Law Week Committee, expresses it as a great privilege to honor him with a special Distinction Award during the Law Week and handing over ceremony of the outgoing officials to new executive members slated for Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at 6 PM.

The event will take place at Edgedrive Hotel, Kunama Crescent, GRA, Lokoja.

The letter emphasizes that Barr. Tanko Osuku’s presence to receive the award will greatly enhance the occasion and inspire members of the legal profession, especially young lawyers who admire his legacy. The organizers are eager to celebrate his achievements in person.

Barr. Tanko Osuku is a former Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association Lokoja Branch, former Chairman of Kogi Local Government, Special Adviser to the Kogi State Governor, and currently the Executive Chairman of the Kogi State Civil Service Commission.

Barr. Tanko Osuku is also the Principal Partner of A.O Musa and Co., Solicitors of the Supreme Court, with his chambers located in Lokoja, the capital of Kogi State.
