Kogi APC Chieftain Prince Michael Ojotule celebrates Nigeria 65th Independent Anniversary

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State, Prince Michael Ojotule, has joined Kogi residents and Nigerians in celebrating Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary on October 1st, 2025.
Ojotule recalled how Nigerian leaders fought for the nation’s freedom, which has fostered national cohesion, enabling peace and stability
He also called for support for governments at all levels and praised both past and present leaders for their efforts in keeping the country functioning despite challenges such as insecurity, noting that the situation is improving.
Global Times Nigeria reports that the 2025 Independence anniversary marked Nigeria’s 65 years of independence with the official theme “Nigeria @ 65: All Hands on Deck for a Greater Nation.”

“This theme emphasizes the need for unity, collaboration, and patriotism among the public sector, private sector, civil society, and citizens to build a nation characterized by sustainable peace, prosperity, and progress.”
“It reflects Nigeria’s resilience since gaining independence in 1960 and calls for collective efforts to consolidate past achievements and pursue higher goals under the Renewed Hope Agenda.”
The anniversary activities included prayers, church services, a world press conference, and a national address by President Bola Tinubu, aimed at reinforcing the message of national solidarity and development
