The Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore Fulani Socio-Cultural Association has condemned the continuous profiling of Fulani pastoralists by some sections of the media. The association emphasizes that such profiling is misleading and politically motivated, contributing to misunderstandings and tensions around herder-farmer conflicts.

The association supports ongoing peace initiatives and dialogue, urging for peaceful engagement with authorities rather than protests.

They also commend security agencies for their efforts in fighting insecurity and support government initiatives aimed at livestock development and the establishment of grazing reserves

This stance is part of the group’s efforts to promote peace, unity, and development in Nigeria.

The Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, a Fulani socio-cultural group, reaffirmed its commitment to peace and reconciliation efforts in Nigeria, particularly in the North East region.

This is contained in a communique signed by the National President Alhaji Bello Bodejo alongside National Secretary, Engineer Saleh Alhassan, during a meeting with 36 state chairmen at the group’s headquarters in Tudun Wada, Karu Local Government Area.

Presiding over the meeting with 36 Chairmen of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, the National President, Alhaji Bello Bodejo, expressed support for ongoing peace and reconciliation efforts aimed at addressing conflicts in the North East.

They also applauded the efforts of the National Security Adviser and the Senate Committee on National Security and Intelligence for adopting both kinetic and non-kinetic strategies to address conflicts between herders and farmers.

“The meeting noted with dismay the continuous genocidal massacre of Fulani Pastoralists by non-state actors in name vigilantes and Yansakai and called on the Inspector General of Police to set up a high power panel to unmasked those responsible for the dastardly acts and ensure justice is done to the victims’ families to avoid people resorting to self-help”

According to the Fulani Leaders, Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore has consistently emphasized its dedication to promoting peace, unity, and development in Nigeria and appreciated the decision of the Federal Ministry of Livestock to commence the designation, formalization, and development of all 415 grazing reserves across the states of the federation, stating that this is a step towards addressing the challenges confronting Fulani herders in Nigeria

“The meeting condemned the continuous profiling of Fulani pastoralists by some sections of the media and called for unbiased and justice-based reportage of the farmers-herders conflicts”

The Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore however, dismissed claims that farmers-herders conflicts are the major drivers of instability and insecurity in Nigeria, maintaining that the conflicts are rather exacerbated by activities of sponsored vigilantes.
