….Says Delta Is A “Construction Site”

A former People’s Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for the 2023 elections in Kogi State, Senator Dino Melaye has expressed strong admiration for the rapid development happening in Delta State under Governor Sheriff Francis Oborevwori.

He described his visit to Delta State as eye-opening, calling the entire state “a construction site” due to the extensive and visible infrastructural projects underway. Melaye, who represented the people of Kogi West Senatorial District in the Senate praised the governor for his visionary leadership and people-oriented development approach, revealing the many ongoing projects such as road rehabilitation, flyover constructions, housing, and urban renewal that are transforming the state.

After attending the burial rites of Elder Gilbert Okafor Ibegbulem, father of former Principal Secretary to ex-Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, Dr. Hilary Obi Ibegbulem, in the state, the former lawmaker shared his impressions on Facebook, describing the transformation as nothing short of remarkable. “I was waoooed in Delta State,” Melaye wrote, adding that the entire state had become a massive construction site.

He praised Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for his focus on people-oriented projects, noting that visible infrastructure development could be seen across all corners of the state. “My respect to the Governor and people of Delta State. People-oriented projects everywhere across the state. Bravo!” he added. Senator Melaye’s endorsement adds to the growing commendations Governor Oborevwori has received for his infrastructure drive and commitment to inclusive development since assuming office.
