APC Youth Group vows to secure automatic ticket for Senator Sunday Karimi in 2027
…Describes Karimi as a “platinum standard” leader supporting President Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda

The National All Progressives Congress (APC) Youth Coalition (NAYC), has urged Senator Sunday Karimi of Kogi West Senatorial District to kickstart his re-election campaign for a second term, for demonstrating quality leadership and numerous achievements over his first two years in office.
The group maintained that Senator Karimi has notably sponsored over ten bills and moved more than 30 motions in the Senate, he remains focus on key national and State issues.
Senator Karimi contributions to infrastructure in Kogi West include ongoing road projects worth over N2 billion, provision of transformers and solar-powered street lights to over 500 communities, and rehabilitation of more than 140 boreholes for potable water access.
The group noted that Senator Karimi has initiated education scholarships, health interventions, rural road rehabilitation, and empowerment programs aimed at socio-economic development.
“His leadership as Senate Committee Chairman has also delivered improved conditions for legislative work, reinforcing his capacity to continue serving effectively.”
The NAYC said these efforts of Karimi have significantly improved the living standards in his senatorial district, calling on the people of Kogi West to join in calling to rerun for a second term based on his quality governance and meaningful representation to his constituents.
The APC Youth Coalition (NAYC) has pledged an automatic second tenure ticket for Senator Sunday Karimi, aiming to amplify and sustain the gains he has recorded for the people of the senatorial district in his first tenure.
The coalition made an appeal for Senator Karimi to declare his interest in a second tenure at a world press conference held at the NUJ press center in Lokoja on Monday. Aiyelabowo Adebanji, Director General of NAYC, stated that the press conference served as an endorsement and a call to action, urging Senator Karimi to seek re-election and underscoring the significant impact of his mandate on his constituents’ lives.
He stressed that, aligned with the APC’s renewed Hope agenda spearheaded by President Bola Tinubu, the coalition considers Karimi an exemplary model of progressive governance, worthy of a second term without obstacles.
Senator Sunday Karimi has been highly commended for his unwavering loyalty to PBAT and APC, and his dedicated efforts to uplift students and youths through scholarships and impactful infrastructure projects across Kogi West.
The NAYC has equally passed a confidence vote recognizing Senator Sunday Karimi’s scholarship provision to 3,000 Kogi State students worldwide.
Karimi has sponsored over 40 bills and numerous motions positively affecting both his constituents and the nation, earning widespread prayers and support.
He remains a strong advocate for grassroots communities, particularly in combating insecurity by establishing forward operating bases equipped to protect livelihoods.
In under two years, Karimi has invested over two billion naira in development projects in the zone and initiated motions addressing food insecurity, resulting in the stabilization of staple food prices.
His active participation in Senate debates promotes investment and youth inclusion, making him a national hero with proven leadership beyond a single term.
While the fellow APC members and constituents praised Karimi as a “platinum standard” leader who bridges divides, supports President Tinubu earnestly, and is encouraged to run for the 2027 Senate election with the assurance of automatic party nomination in Kogi West.
