The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Kogi State Chapter, has recently inaugurated its newly elected executives that will run it affairs for the next 4 years with Comrade Abdulrahman Abdulmumuni Enesi as it’s State Chairman.

The inauguration included new executives for the state and zonal leadership from the three senatorial districts of the State, following a democratic process consistent with the NYCN constitution. Comrade Abdulrahman Abdulmumuni Enesi, the NYCN Kogi State chairman, pledged his new leadership will prioritize youth welfare, integrity, accountability, and development at State and local level for the next four years. The event was well attended and emphasized transparent, inclusive youth leadership.

He also emphasizes ethics and accountability, introducing a Code of Conduct and Ethics for NYCN officials.
Comrade Enesi has received support from key state actors, including the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, and is collaborating closely with youth stakeholders to drive meaningful youth-centered development initiatives across the state’s 21 local government areas.
His leadership is a beginning of a new era with principled and inclusive youth governance aimed at fostering growth and prosperity for the youth of Kogi State.
Enesi thanked the State commissioner for youth and sports development, Hon. Monday Aridaojo Anyebe, the Chief of Staff to Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ali Bello, the State Auditor General, Hon. Hon Yakubu Adabenege Siyaka, Kogi State Commissioner for LG and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon (Barr.) Ozeegi Deedat, Special Adviser on Youth and Women Empowerment, Hon. Charity Ijese, Special Adviser on Youth and Students affairs, Comrade Oladele John Nihi, Comrade Sunday Osiako, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Mobilization and Chairman Committee for the NYCN inauguration and pioneers State Chairmen of NYCN and others who contributed to make this event a huge success.

He assured that his new leadership will promote peace, accountability, and development while working collaboratively with the state government led by Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to attract meaningful development to their constituencies.

commitment to reposition youth leadership in Kogi State on the path of integrity and accountability, with a focus on fostering growth and youth empowerment in the area.”
In his goodwill message, the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Honourable Aridaojo Monday Anyebe, congratulated Comrade Enesi and the newly inaugurated executives of NYCN, urging them to justify the confidence reposed in them by their peers through service and inclusiveness.
“Your emergence is both a testament to your commitment to youth development and a call to higher responsibility,” Anyebe said. “Leadership is not a privilege but a platform for service. When the energy and creativity of our youths are well-guided, there’s no limit to what Kogi State can achieve.”

He reaffirmed the government’s continued commitment under Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to youth empowerment, sports development, and entrepreneurship support, noting that young people remain central to the state’s development agenda.
On her part, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Youth and Women Mobilization, Hon. Charity Ijese urged the new executive to be worthy ambassadors of Kogi State by promoting uprightness, patriotism and peaceful coexistence. She urged the Chairman to be committed to pursuing the collective goals of Kogi state youths in line with the youth development agenda of governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.
Representatives of the Commissioner of Police, NSCDC Commandant, and other youth and student organizations also delivered goodwill messages, commending the peaceful conduct of the election and the inclusive spirit of the inauguration.

The ceremony culminated with the presentation of Certificates of Induction to the newly inaugurated executives by the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, which was the highlight of the event. This formal presentation signified the official induction and readiness of the new executives to commence their duties following a successful and harmonious inauguration process

Charity Ijese; Senior Special Assistants to the Governor; and representatives of the Nigeria Police Force, the Department of State Services (DSS), and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), among others. The event highlighted the government’s commitment to youth empowerment, sports development, and entrepreneurship support under Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.
