Barr. Tanko praises Kogi LG Chairman Musa Abdulmalik for his purposeful leadership on his one-year anniversary

The Executive Chairman of Kogi State Civil Service Commission, Hon. (Barr.) Muhammed Tanko Musa Osuku, has joined the residents of Kogi Local Government Area in celebrating the one-year anniversary of purposeful leadership of Hon. Musa Abdulmalik, the Executive Chairman of the council.

Tanko, a prominent politician and stakeholder from Kogi State said the anniversary marks a notable achievement under Hon. Musa Abdulmalik’s leadership, during which significant progress has been recorded in the council’s administration, including over 90% success in maintaining security, a vital aspect appreciated by the community.

The legal Luminary has assured the residents of Abdulmalik’s led Kogi LG administration of continued commitment to providing quality leadership and development for Kogi Local Government Area.
He said one year celebration Abdulmalik’s council leadership reflects the positive regard for his accomplishments and dedication to the people he serves.
Barr. Tanko commended Hon. Abdulmalik for exceeding expectations and urged him to sustain the progress made over the past year, adding that the solid foundation he established will go along way.
He thanked the council’s legislative arm and officials for their support and presence at the anniversary event held at the council secretariat in Koton-Karfe on Friday.
During his keynote address, Barr. Tanko specifically commended Engr. Muhammed Abubakar Bashir Gegu, the Kogi State Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, for his inclusive leadership style.
He recognized Bashir Gegu is recognized for his commitment to youth empowerment, community development, and his instrumental role in harnessing Kogi State’s rich mineral resources for the benefit of its people. He has been acknowledged for his dependable, dedicated, and result-oriented leadership that embraces inclusivity and drives progress in the state. His leadership has earned him various honors, including an award from the Kogi APC youth wing for outstanding performance, reflecting his philanthropic and community-focused efforts.
He also expressed gratitude to the Director of Local Government and the LG Treasurer for their vital contributions to the council leadership’s successes.

The Civil Service Boss appreciated key political figures who attended the event, including Hon. Suleiman Danladi Aguye (House of Representatives member for Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency), Hon. Bin-Ebaiya Shehu Tijjani (Lokoja 1 State Constituency member in Kogi State House of Assembly), Hon. Idrees Aliyu Maikudi Girinya, (Kogi/Koton-karfe member in the Kogi State House of Assembly) and Hon. Abdullahi Adamu (Executive Chairman of Lokoja Local Government).
He also extended similar appreciation to all the Special Advisers and SSAs to Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo present at the event.
Barr. Tanko, former chairman of Kogi Local Government, also congratulated beneficiaries of the Chairman’s empowerment scheme and encouraged them to continue supporting the council leadership to build further on the foundation laid.
