Prof. M. S. Haruna Presents Blueprint for Nasarawa State to Kokona APC Stakeholders

Prof. M.S. Haruna, a prominent figure and governorship aspirant in Nasarawa State, met with APC stakeholders from Kokona Local Government Area as part of his ongoing consultations to vie for the governor seat in 2027.
This development is significant, given the state’s complex political landscape and the intense competition for the top seat.
Nasarawa State has a zoning arrangement that rotates the governorship seat among its three senatorial districts, the current governor, Abdullahi Sule, hails from the Akwanga Zone (Nasarawa North Senatorial District), which means the seat may likely be zoned to another district in 2027.
This has sparked intense interest among aspirants from different zones, particularly the Keffi Zone (Nasarawa West Senatorial District) and the Lafia Zone (Nasarawa South Senatorial District).
Notable aspirants vying for the governorship seat include: Professor M.S. Haruna, a renowned academic and former Vice Chairman/CEO of NASENI, who has made significant contributions to the state’s development, Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada (Sarkin Yakin Keffi), Dr. Faisal Shuaib, and Dr. Musa Ahmed Mohammed, all from Keffi zone among others.
Prof. Haruna emphasized that the purpose of the meeting was for consultation, not campaigning, and urged the people of Nasarawa State to elect leaders with proven integrity.
He highlighted his wealth of experience in engineering, which he believes will be instrumental in developing the state, following the example set by Governor Abdullahi Sule.
“I call on people of Nasarawa state to shun all forms of hatred or trouble with each other. We should all live in peace for development to thrive”.
Prof. Ayuba Dandoka and Prof. Emmanuel Salau, academic colleagues of Prof. Haruna, threw their weight behind his aspiration, said he has all qualities to government the state come 2027.
They described him as the best candidate for the governorship position due to his impressive track record in public service. The duo highlighted Prof. Haruna’s achievements, including the establishment of engineering institutions across the state, aimed at improving the lives of citizens, and called for support to enable him succeed in his bid.
After watching a documentary highlighting Prof. M.S. Haruna’s achievements in public service, stakeholders at the meeting were impressed and convinced that he possesses the qualities necessary for effective leadership in Nasarawa State.

They pledged to support his governorship bid, promising to disseminate his achievements to their various electoral wards.
The stakeholders expressed confidence that Prof. Haruna is the ideal candidate to build on the progress made by Governor Abdullahi Sule, and they vowed to rally support for his candidacy.
