Barr. Muhammed Tanko Musa Osuku, the Executive Chairman of the Kogi State Civil Service Commission, has traveled to Umaisha development area in Toto Local Government Area of Nasarawa State to attend the wedding of Rukkayat Aminu and Mallam Muhammed Yasir Shuaib from Ihima, Okehi Local Government Area of Kogi State.

The wedding attracted a large crowd including the Executive Chairman of Toto Local Government Council, Hon. Pharm. Ahmed Baba Yahaya, legislative council members, politicians, and party chieftains.

The colourful event held on a Saturday.

After the wedding procession, Barr. Tanko advised the couple to avoid third-party interference in their marriage, warning that such interference could cause controversy and break their home.

The legal luminary congratulated the couple and prayed God for them to have a peaceful home, ensuring the success of their marriage.

According to Barr. Tanko, the bride’s mother is the current councilor representing Umaisha ward and is also hid elder sister, which indicate close family ties.

Barr. Tanko equally advised the newlywed couple to avoid third parties in their home, aimed at preserving their marital harmony.

Tanko emphasized that the involvement of third parties could not only spark controversy but also damage the marital home, potentially allowing negative influences to take root.

He urged the couple to maintain a peaceful home to ensure their marriage succeeds in all aspects.

Barr. Tanko’s delegation, including youths and women, congratulated the couple and prayed for a peaceful and triumphant marriage.

The Executive Chairman of Toto Local Government Council, Hon. Pharm. Ahmed Baba Yahaya, has congratulated Mallam Muhammad Yasir Shuaib and Rukayya Aminu Ahmed on their successful wedding.

Hon. Yahaya, who served as the father of the bride, Rukayya Aminu Ahmed, who is the daughter of the Councillor representing Umaisha Ward, Hajia Amina Aminu.

A dowry of 130,000 naira was paid by Mallam Muhammed Yasir Shuaib to the family of Mallam Rukaya Aminu, and this payment was confirmed by the presiding scholar, community leaders, and guests at the occasion.

This confirmation was inline with the cultural and religious practices surrounding marriage and dowry payment, where such ceremonies involve the presence and acknowledgment of key community and religious figures to legitimize the marriage agreement.

The wedding was conducted according to Islamic rites and the sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and was attended by a delegation led by the Chairman including elected officials and appointed supervisors among others.
