Nasarawa NYCN leadership meets youth support groups, urges tolerance ahead of 2027
……Warns support groups against altercations, boastful, derogatory language and misguided comments

With the 2027 general elections approaching, the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Nasarawa State Chapter, under the leadership of Comrade Muhammad Ja’afar Loko, has continued to maintain its engagement with prominent gubernatorial aspirants while embarking on another round of interactions with notable youth support groups affiliated with these aspirants in Nasarawa State.
Comrade Loko said the goal is to express gratitude to the leaders of these support groups for their active participation and encouragement of other young people to engage in the political process, aligning with the National Youth Council’s agenda of ‘Youth Active Participation in Politics and Governance’, which seeks to ensure peace and stability among youth supporters of all aspirants in the State.
At the flagged off an advocacy tour at the office of Wadada Ambassadors, along Shendam road, Lafia, the State capital on Wednesday, Ja’afar Loko urged the leadership to continue their operations in a peaceful manner, eschewing any form of rancour and animosity, and instead embracing tolerance and understanding as their guiding principles.
Loko who was recently appointed as Special Assistant on Community engagement to Nasarawa State Governor, said NYCN, being the umbrella body of all youth organizations in the state, will continue to advised them to avoid any kind of altercation, vaunter, derogatory languages, and misguided utterances that will cause disunity and misunderstanding among the peace-loving youth of Nasarawa state, which may jeopardize the existing peace we are enjoying in the state at the moment.
“We also commended them for promoting and projecting their principals without attacking other aspirants’ personalities. This has been our consistent message.”
“We pledged to provide necessary guidance and support to aid in achieving their respective support groups’ desired goals.”
“Following our engagement with Wadada Ambassador under Comr Zaidu Aliyu Tanko’s leadership, we proceeded to a meeting with Barade Ambassadors, conveying the same messages and informing them of our initiative to interact with major gubernatorial aspirants and review their plans for young people in their manifestos and blueprints, offering advice and suggestions where necessary.”
“We were warmly received by Comr Sani Jibo, leader of Barade Ambassadors, and his team, in a manner similar to the warm hospitality shown by Wadada Ambassadors.”
“Our meeting with the leaders of these two prominent support groups and their teams was highly productive and engaging. In the coming days, the visit will continue with other youth support groups, with an emphasis on youth development and their prospects beyond 2027.”
