Keffi Agog as Emir Celebrates Decade on Throne

The Emir of Keffi, Dr. Shehu Chindo Yamusa III, assumed the throne on December 14, 2015. He is the 15th Emir of Keffi and has been on the throne for 10 years, marking a decade of his reign in December 2025.
The celebration of his 10 year on the throne, drew dignitaries from all walks of life who converged to rejoice with the emir.
The Nasarawa State Government commended the Emir of Keffi, Dr. Shehu Chindo Yamusa III, for his exemplary leadership and commitment to peacebuilding in the kingdom.

The Governor of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi Sule, represented by his deputy, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe, made the commendation during the 10th anniversary celebration of the Emir’s ascension to the throne.
Governor Sule praised the traditional ruler for his remarkable decade-long reign, describing him as a symbol of peace and unity in the kingdom and thanked the Emir and other members of the traditional council for their support and advice since the commencement of his administration in 2019.
“Their support, advice, cooperation, and prayers have been instrumental in our achievements so far. The relative peace enjoyed in Nasarawa State is a testament to the wisdom and guidance of our royal fathers,” Dr. Akabe said.
The Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence Sa’ad Mohammed Abubakar, in his goodwill message, commended the Emir for sustaining the good leadership legacy of his late father and urged him to continue providing impactful leadership to the people of Keffi.
The Minister of Women Affairs, Hajiya Imaan Suleiman Ibrahim, described the Emir as a symbol of progress and development who has embraced everyone irrespective of differences.
Other dignitaries who showered accolades on the Emir included Member representing Keffi East constituency, Ibrahim Nana Aliyu, and Alhaji Mohammed Elkabir, who praised the monarch for his purposeful leadership and promised to continue supporting him.
In his response, the Emir of Keffi thanked God for guiding him throughout his reign and appreciated the signatories and those who contributed to the success of the 10th anniversary celebration. The event featured a colorful cultural display by different tribes, including the Isa Kungar cultural troupe.

The celebration underscored the Emir’s commitment to peacebuilding and his dedication to the development of Keffi kingdom.
