Ahead of the 2027 elections, Dr. Musa Muhammed Maikaya, a key gubernatorial aspirant of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Nasarawa State, has commended Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, the former Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, for prioritizing development over personal interests.

Maikaya emphasized that Abdullahi’s leadership brought notable advancements to both his constituency and Toto Local Government.
He made the commendation while hosting the Central Working Committee and campaign organization of the former Speaker at his residence in Toto, with the group’s Central Coordinator, Alhaji Danladi Katakpa, and ward coordinators present.
He noted that he sought the former Speaker’s support, given his leadership and commitment to the people of Toto LGA and beyond.
Maikaya stated that he and Balarabe have put their differences aside to pursue mutual interests that will promote peace and development in Toto LGA and the state.
” Let me be sincere with us here, I have seen a lot of group, but yet to see one that is more focus and determine towards a particular cause like Balarabe have shown as evident in his political structure across Toto LG.

“I have also seen how same Balarabe used his office to uplift some people, and as well linked them up with Goverment of the day, it take a man with courage to have done this.”
He said Balarabe has done well while in office, adding that his good leadership were the reason the people of Toto LG are still glued with him.
He commended the Balarabe Central Working Committee for their unflinching support and loyalty to the former Speaker, calling on other politicians to emulate his couragous and selfless leadership style he has exhibited over the years.
Maikaya, equally declared his ambition to succeed Governor Abdullahi Sule, seeking the support of Toto LG people, which he said was the major reason he need the former Speaker’s support to succeed.
He said he has gone round the State seeking for the support but the truth of the matter is, we must get home sealed for this task done.
“It’s a only a deceiver or pretender that will ignored Balarabe’s political structure in Toto. He has done it several times and we’ve seen the result.”
“Balarabe and myself are working for Governor Abdullahi Sule’s interest, we’ve buried our past to pursue a common interest that would benefit our people.”
Maikaya thanked the Governor for supporting the former Speaker Balarabe throughout his days in office, assuring that he will continue to support the Governor even as a private person.
He thanked Governor Abdullah Sule for initiating peaceful resolution and various developmental stride he has brought to Toto LG.
The central Coordinator for Balarabe Political Organisation, Hon. Danladi Katakpa thanked Maikaya for being magnanimous and generous in his politicking.
Hon. Katakpa said the invitation came through their principal to attend the meeting with Maikaya, which shows how serious Rt. Hon. Balarabe recognised Maikaya.
According to him, When Rt. Hon. Balarabe gives them an assignment, result is expected of them to deliver effectively.
He said as far as Balarabe is concerend there political directions is secured, urging Maikaya to continue to work with Rt. Hon. Balarabe for electoral success.
Speaking shortly after the meeting, former Executive Chairman of Toto local government area and Secretary General of Balarabe Central Working Committee, Prince Nuhu Adamu Dauda, said the Balarabe Campaign Organisation received an official invitation from Dr. Musa Muhammed Maikaya for a meeting today.
Prince Dauda said the meeting is historic and such has never been recorded before in history of politicking in Toto LG.
He said the group is overwhelmed with this initiative and described it as a step forward.
“With caliber of people that attended the meeting today, it shows that it’s serious political engagement. The loyalists of the former Speaker Balarabe are known for serious politicking.”
He said their presence was affirmed by their leader, Rt. Hon Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi. He described Maikaya as an exceptional leader with focus on adding value to the people of Nasarawa
According to the former Chairman, the team is totally answerable to the former Speaker, Rt. Hon. Balarabe and incumbent Governor of Nasarawa State, Engineer Abdullahi Sule, adding that their directions remains the strength of the group
