Fail Marriage Promise: Actress Doris Ogala threatens to share workout videos with ex Pastor Chris Okafor if he continues posting wedding photos
Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has voiced deep emotional pain over Pastor Chris Okafor’s repeated social media posts of his recent wedding photos, viewing them as deliberate taunts amid their bitter fallout.
During a live session with media personality Daddy Freeze, she questioned if the pastor realized the toll it was taking on her mental state, especially given their unresolved nine-year relationship that she claims involved a marriage promise.
Ogala has escalated the dispute by demanding ₦1 billion in damages for breach of promise to marry, giving him 21 days to pay or face court.
Ogala alleges their romance began in 2017 in Abuja, where Okafor, then claiming to be divorced, introduced her to his family and treated her as a fiancee, including visits to his Anambra village.
She describes emotional and phone-based intimacy persisting even during her reportedly abusive marriage, but denies physical affairs while wed.
The conflict intensified after Okafor’s recent marriage, with Ogala accusing him of financial exploitation, including ₦45 million she entrusted to him.
Ogala released private chats with Okafor and threatened to leak intimate videos if he continues posting wedding photos, calling it provocation.
The actress alleged that Pastor Okafor was deliberately posting the images to hurt her and attract public attention, claiming he was attempting to mimic the social media publicity often associated with celebrity weddings.
She warned that his actions could push her into responding in ways she might later regret: “A man that I used to be I love with then you hurt me then every week he’s posting the picture trying to mimick Davido so that it’ll pain me if he should post another one I’ll post our workout video.”
She further discussed the reputational and emotional impact of the controversy, saying she felt embarrassed and struggled to face her family amid the public attention. Ogala also alleged that Pastor Okafor had previously made statements she interpreted as threatening or dismissive, contributing to her current distress.
According to the actress, the cleric’s pride and unwillingness to apologise have escalated the situation rather than easing tensions. She emphasized that continued provocative posts could force her to take actions she would otherwise avoid, highlighting the lingering pain from their past relationship.
Daddy Freeze urged her to prioritize mental health and move on, framing public airing as unhelpful amid her grief from a past miscarriage tied to the relationship.
Daddy Freeze attempted to calm the situation, noting that it is common for newly married individuals to share wedding photos publicly. Ogala, however, argued that the circumstances of their fallout made such posts insensitive and emotionally taxing for her.
Her legal letter, dated December 16, 2025, seeks damages for emotional, reputational, and psychological harm.
