The National Chairman of the Forum, Senator (Chief) Ighoyota Amori, made the appeal in a goodwill message issued on Friday and signed by the National Publicity Secretary, Dr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, Esq.

According to Senator Amori, the true spirit of the season is best expressed through love, generosity, and peaceful coexistence, noting that joy is amplified when people become their “brother’s keeper” through acts of kindness and compassion.

He emphasized the importance of extending generosity to the needy during the festive period, drawing inspiration from biblical teachings such as 2 Corinthians 9:15, which speaks of “God’s indescribable gift,” and John 3:16, which underscores God’s sacrificial love for humanity. The Forum urged Christians to use their God-given resources, time, and talents to serve others, especially the poor—while remembering that “every good and perfect gift comes from above” (James 1:17).

Senator Amori commended the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, JP, for his steadfast commitment to socioeconomic and infrastructural development across the three senatorial districts, including the execution of visible mega projects within the Ethiope Federal Constituency.

He expressed optimism over the proposed ₦1.7 trillion 2026 budget tagged “Accelerating the MORE Agenda,” describing it as a bold fiscal framework capable of significantly improving living standards through capital projects and targeted social investment programmes, as outlined by the governor and his economic team.

The Forum also reaffirmed its confidence in the economic reforms and infrastructure initiatives of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu under the Renewed Hope Agenda, noting that Delta State has aligned with the President’s vision by adopting the “Renewed Hope for MORE Agenda” as its economic blueprint to harmonize development efforts and fast-track prosperity.

Senator Amori further applauded the leadership and members of the Ethiope Federal Constituency Forum for their loyalty and dedication, while specially acknowledging the National Secretary and State Director of Protocols, Chief Sunday Onoriode, for his unwavering commitment and invaluable service to the Forum, the APC, and Delta State.

“On behalf of the Ethiope Federal Constituency Forum, I wish all Deltans and the good people of Ethiope Federal Constituency a peaceful Yuletide season and a prosperous 2026,” he said.

“Let us share the joy of the season with the needy and our loved ones, remembering that God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. Peace is priceless, and I urge everyone to sustain peace and promote unity in their communities.

“2026 will be a great year, as our amiable governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has assured us of doing even more for the people, as reflected in the ₦1.7 trillion budget before us,” Amori added.
