In every election cycle, APC stakeholders gather to decide on the primary method. Too often, this ends with a “consensus” approach, where party leaders handpick the candidate, stripping grassroots members of their right to choose, especially for the gubernatorial flagbearer.
Rigged Outcomes Fuel the Chaos
The infighting and disruptions stem from one core issue: the absence of credible, transparent primaries. Without them, unqualified individuals, lacking capacity, integrity, or vision, gain undue influence.
Their preferred candidate then “wins” by any means necessary, undermining democracy.
A Sobering Question for Nasarawa APC Members
Have Nasarawa’s APC faithful become mere bystanders, voiceless in their own party, reduced to rubber-stamping leaders they didn’t choose?

This is a moment for the principled members to shine! The party’s women and men of integrity must unite and step up to ensure their perspectives are heard and valued. Together, we can foster a vibrant dialogue that embodies the true spirit of the APC!
I am saying this, not as a member of the APC, but as a concerned citizen.
During each election cycle, party stakeholders are convened to receive instructions on the election method to be adopted. This process typically concludes with the adoption of a “consensus party primary,” in which the party leader selects the party’s candidate for the elective office, denying party members the right to choose their preferred candidate, especially in determining the party’s gubernatorial flagbearer.
WINNER OF GUBER ELECTION BY ALL MEANS NECESSARY
All the nonsense, the infighting, and the gra-gra are happening because we usually have no credible elections.
Hence, nonentities, empty barrels, people without capacity, thieves, and faithless persons will be allowed to determine who our leaders should be, because their chosen person will surely be returned as the winner by any means necessary.
HENCE, THE QUESTION
Are the Nasarawa APC members zombies who have been made expendable articles and turned into beggars, with no voice in the affairs of the party, especially in the selection or election of party candidates for elective public office?
Isn’t it a shame?
