Katsina-Ala LG Boss Flags Off Tor-Donga-Tacha Road Grading in Benue

The Executive Chairman of Katsina-ala local government council, Benue State Dr. Justin Shaku penultimate week flagged off the grading of the Tor-Donga – Tacha road.
The flag-off exercise which started at the Tor-Donga international yam market stretches seven kilometers to Tacha, extending three kilometers to Tse- Iyortom, the Chairman’s home village.
The Executive Chairman in his speech at the event stated that the flag-off followed earlier promise on Christmas day that the project will commence before the end of the year.

The Chairman stressed the importance of the road which he said will enable farmers carry their agricultural produce to Tor-Donga market as it has been impassable due to insecurity in the area.
He commended the Benue state Governor Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Alia and Member of the House of Representatives for Katsina-ala, Ukum and Logo Federal constituency Prince Solomon Wombo for standing behind him to carry out such projects in Shitile and Katsina-ala local government in general.
In their separate remarks, the District Head of Michihe ward Chief Joseph Ordorough, Mue Terr Ipusu Chief Donald Ayolave and the District Head of Yooyoo Chief Davy Togo commended the Chairman for his commitment to bring lasting peace and rapid development in the area.
Highpoint of the event was the flag off of the road construction by the Chairman while the Contractor Engr. Johnson of Ochebo Zenith construction company promised to deliver the contract within the time frame according to specifications.
