Akpowowo’s Stellar Performance Puts Ethiope East on Map – Bureau DG, Oghenesivbe
The Director-General of the Delta State Bureau for Orientation and Communications has commended the Deputy Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. (Barr.) Arthur Akpowowo, JP, for his pragmatic leadership style and quality representation of the Ethiope East State Constituency.

The commendation, made by the Bureau DG, Dr. Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, was contained in a goodwill message to mark the birthday anniversary of the Deputy Speaker.
He described Rt. Hon. Akpowowo as a legal icon, a consummate leader, and a resourceful lawmaker who has continued to demonstrate exceptional legislative competence since his assumption of office on May 29, 2023.
Dr. Oghenesivbe noted that the Deputy Speaker has initiated and executed impactful empowerment programmes and constituency interventions that have significantly improved the living standards of the people of Ethiope East. According to him, these achievements have set a high benchmark and established a legacy that will be difficult to surpass even beyond the end of his tenure in 2031.
He further stated that the people of Ethiope East are pleased and satisfied with the quality of representation provided by the Deputy Speaker, a development that culminated in his recent full-scale endorsement for a second term in 2027 by the APC College of Leaders, stakeholders, women, and youth across the constituency.
The Bureau Chief disclosed that Rt. Hon. Akpowowo remains fully committed to the re-election bids of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, and has consistently articulated the people focused policies and programmes of the federal and state governments to his constituents to enable them appreciate the genuine efforts of Mr President and the state governor.
He described the Deputy Speaker as a good ambassador of the Renewed Hope for MORE Agenda, adding that as the highest elected office holder in Ethiope East under the Oborevwori administration, Akpowowo has worked tirelessly to unite party leaders and stakeholders, while strengthening party structures across the eleventh wards to ensure overwhelming victory in the 2027 general elections.
Dr. Oghenesivbe urged the indefatigable Deputy Speaker to sustain his hallmark humility, resilience, open-door policy, and equitable distribution of the dividends of democracy in Ethiope East State Constituency.
He concluded by praying for Rt. Hon. Akpowowo’s continued good health, uncommon wisdom, longevity, divine grace, and abundant blessings in the years ahead.
