Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau, Ph.D., has commended the management team of the Assembly for their giant contributions to effective legislative business and seamless House activities.
The State Number Three Citizen also praised the strong synergy between the management and lawmakers, describing it as key to service delivery, particularly in lawmaking and other parliamentary duties, while calling for its sustenance.
The Speaker made this known Friday while hosting the Assembly’s management staff on a New Year and thank-you visit at his residence in Garaku, Kokona Local Government Area.
The visit was led by the Deputy Clerk of the House, Mr. Paul Okugya.
Receiving the team, Jatau thanked the administrative leadership for their diligence and effective collaboration with lawmakers, noting that their efforts have significantly eased legislative work.
He said: “Your efforts are greatly making impacts and easing the general work of the lawmakers.”
The Speaker further commended the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN) for their struggles that led to the granting of financial autonomy to the Assembly.
In his remarks, Deputy Clerk Okugya explained that the visit was to express gratitude for the Speaker’s New Year solidarity, his constant identification with staff during grief, breakthroughs, and life events, as well as his passion for improving staff welfare.
Okugya assured the Speaker of the management’s continued commitment to supporting legislative duties.
The event underscored the harmonious working relationship between the Assembly’s leadership and its administrative arm, vital for Nasarawa State’s legislative progress.
