Nasarawa Deputy Speaker Oyanki Dumps PDP, Joins APC
Rt. Hon. Muhammad Adamu Oyanki, Deputy Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Oyanki, who represents Doma North Constituency, made the announcement during a thank-you visit to Governor Abdullahi Sule at the Government House in Lafia on Wednesday.

The lawmaker expressed his decision before the governor, marking a significant boost for the APC ahead of future political realignments.
Sources close to the assembly indicate that Oyanki will formally notify Speaker Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau of his defection when lawmakers resume from recess next week.
He is also expected to reveal reasons for the switch during the reading of his defection letter on the floor of the House.
