A delegation of Nasarawa State youth, led by Muhammed Ja’afar Loko, paid a courtesy visit to the Minister of Women Affairs, Hajia Imaan Suleiman-Ibrahim fsi, at her office in Abuja on Monday, February 9.

 

The high-level engagement centered on advancing youth and women empowerment, political participation, peace-building initiatives, and the implementation of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Loko, a Special Assistant on Community Engagement to the Governor of Nasarawa State, presenting the group’s mission statement, stressed the urgent need for sustainable opportunities amid Nigeria’s burgeoning youth population.

“We emphasized skill development, entrepreneurship, and access to resources to harness the potentials of our young people,” he said.

 

He also highlighted strategies to boost youth involvement in politics, describing it as key to shaping the nation’s future and strengthening democracy.

Peace building emerged as a cornerstone of the talks, with both sides exploring collaborative efforts to promote harmony and stability in Nasarawa communities.

 

Hajia Imaan Suleiman-Ibrahim, a staunch advocate for youth inclusion, gender quotas in leadership, and economic empowerment, has refocused the ministry on tackling longstanding challenges facing youth, women, and children nationwide.

 

The discussion also covered the developmental strides of Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi A. Sule and plans for an upcoming solidarity rally in the state.

 

The meeting ended on a note of commitment to ongoing partnership, with pledges to turn discussions into actionable benefits for Nasarawa youth and national progress.

 

The delegation joined the minister in receiving the Deputy Governor of Ogun State, one of the few female deputies in the country.

 

“Hajia Imaan truly means well for Nigerian youth. She deserves our collective support and prayers to succeed,” Loko affirmed.
