NIMC Flags Off Free ward-To-Ward NIN Registration in Delta From February 16

The Federal Government has launched a free Ward-to-Ward National Identification Number (NIN) registration exercise across Delta State, targeting all citizens and residents who have yet to enroll.

Organised by the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), the initiative covers newborns to adults and runs from Monday, February 16, to Monday, March 30, 2026.

It will hold daily from 8am to 5pm in designated Town Halls in every ward across the state’s 25 Local Government Areas.
A statement from the Delta State Government emphasised that the NIN remains crucial for accessing banking services, telecommunications, government empowerment programmes, travel documents, and other essential services.
