APC Ward 6 Kokori Congress: Omeru’s ₦40M Empowerment Sparks Jubilation
…..Ward passes vote of confidence in Tinubu, Oborevwori
The political horizon in Kokori shimmered with renewed energy as leaders and faithful of the All Progressives Congress (APC) converged for the Ward 6 Congress, a gathering that blended celebration with a bold declaration of intent for 2027.
At the heart of the moment stood Chief James Omeru, Chairman of the APC Ward 6 Congress Committee, whose voice rang with both triumph and urgency. With Pastor Sunday Agbogun Efegoma formally elected as Ward Chairman alongside his executive team, Omeru offered warm congratulations.
He urged the new EXCO to close ranks, shun division, and steer the party with unity and purpose. For Omeru, the Congress was not merely an internal exercise; it was an APC family affair pointing to 2027 general elections and beyond.
According to him, the political machinery must now shift into high gear to secure overwhelming victories for President Bola Tinubu and Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, alongside all APC candidates who will emerge from future primaries.
Omeru described Governor Oborevwori as “a tested and trusted Visionary leader” citing strides across key sectors of the state’s economy and predicting a smooth path to re-election.
Gratitude flowed freely as Omeru paid glowing tribute to the Ward’s political leader, Chief (Barr.) G. S. Avwunudiogba, whose “pragmatic and steady leadership,” he said, laid the groundwork for a peaceful and successful Congress.
In the same vein, former federal lawmaker, Rt. Hon. Sunny Akpodiogaga Emeyese raised the stakes even higher. Ward 6 Kokori, he assured, is poised to deliver a resounding “5/5” victory for all APC candidates in 2027.
He charged the newly elected Chairman and his team to “hit the ground running,” reminding them that the expectations of the people are high, and the moment demands action.
The gathering erupted in applause as Emeyese, speaking on behalf of leaders and stakeholders, commended Chief Omeru for what many described as an unprecedented wave of empowerment across the ward.
In just days, over ₦40 million was disbursed to support five youths and two women per unit across Ward 6 Kokori. Each beneficiary received ₦200,000 through direct bank transfers, a gesture that sparked jubilation and renewed confidence among grassroots supporters.
The Secretary of the APC Ward 6 Kokori Congress Committee, Olorogun (Barr) Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, commended Chief Omeru for championing an era of result oriented leadership, teamwork and unity among leaders and stakeholders in the ward.
He pointed out that Chief Omeru’s empowerment drive positions Ward 6 as a mobilized, economically engaged base ahead of 2027. With open support declared for President Bola Tinubu and Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, the ward’s strategy appears clear: prosperity at the grassroots as the foundation for electoral strength.
Other prominent voices at the victory meeting including; Chief Faith Majemite, and Chief (Barr.) Sunday Omovie, praised the ward leadership for conducting a Congress marked by order, transparency, and unity. They described the exercise as a testament to internal democracy and collective resolve.
