Gaya Supports Former APC Officials with N4M Donation
In a gesture of solidarity and encouragement, Hon. Abdullahi Mahmud Gaya, Independent Non-Executive Director of the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority, has extended support to former All Progressives Congress (APC) officials who lost their party positions due to the 60-40 ratio arrangement.
Hon. Gaya reassured the former officials that they have not been forgotten or abandoned by the party leadership, explaining that the adjustments were necessary under the new formula to accommodate former NNPP members who previously held state and local government elective positions before joining the APC.
Speaking at the Gidan Ganduje APC Secretariat on Saturday, Hon. Gaya, who represented the Ajingi, Gaya, and Albasu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives during the 8th and 9th National Assemblies, emphasized the importance of party unity.
He urged members to embrace one another and work collaboratively toward the development of Gaya Local Government and Kano State as a whole, stressing the need for continued commitment and active contribution to the party’s success in the upcoming general elections.
Reiterating his unwavering dedication, Hon. Gaya assured former APC stakeholders of his ongoing support, emphasizing that they remain valued, included, and appreciated despite no longer holding official party positions.
He called for patience regarding the outcome of the recent exercise and presented a donation of Four Million Naira. He also pledged to work closely with them in all future initiatives under his leadership and guidance.

Also speaking at the event, the former Speaker of the Gaya Local Government Council, Hon. Shaaibu Gamarya, described Hon. Abdullahi Mahmud Gaya as an undisputed leader, deeply committed to the development of the people and the three local government areas he once represented in the Green Chamber of the National Assembly.
Gamarya added that the people are living witnesses to his achievements in the Green Chamber and can clearly distinguish between those who genuinely serve and those who merely seek office.
“The electorate has witnessed significant transformations in infrastructure and human development during his two terms, for which we graciously entrusted him with our mandate,” Gamarya concluded.
