2027: Oghenesivbe Predicts Tinubu, Oborevwori Victory

…Commends Ethiope East APC Chairman Iboyitete, Party Leaders

Director General of the Delta State Bureau for Orientation and Communications, Dr. (Barr.) Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, has once again expressed confidence in the electoral prospects of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, predicting a sweeping victory for both leaders in the 2027 general elections.

Oghenesivbe reaffirmed his prediction on Friday on the sidelines of the inauguration of the Chairman and Executive Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ward 6, Kokori, in Ethiope East Local Government Area.

According to him, the prevailing political climate in Nigeria, and particularly in Delta State suggests that President Tinubu remains the dominant force on the national stage.

“The political atmosphere clearly shows that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has no visible contender capable of matching his popularity and track record in governance. This positions him strongly to secure victory not only in Delta State but across the country,” Oghenesivbe said.

He urged the newly inaugurated Ward Chairman, Pastor Sunday Agbogun, to lead with integrity and vision, emphasizing the need to strengthen unity among party leaders, stakeholders, and grassroots members.

“Ward 6 APC is on a path to excellence. The leadership must foster peace, cohesion, and collective commitment as the party prepares to decisively defeat opposition parties in the forthcoming elections,” he said.

Oghenesivbe further praised the achievements of the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda, describing it as a policy framework already yielding measurable economic progress and positioning Nigeria for greater prosperity in the years ahead.

Turning to Delta State, he commended Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for what he described as “visionary leadership and massive infrastructure expansion,” noting that the administration’s projects have significantly improved economic opportunities and the overall wellbeing of citizens in less than three years in office.

The Bureau Chief expressed strong optimism that Governor Oborevwori would record a clean sweep across the state’s 25 local government areas in 2027, attributing this confidence to the widespread infrastructure and socioeconomic development projects currently underway across the three senatorial districts, as well as the state government’s decision to increase budgetary allocations to ₦7 billion for each LGA in the 2026 budget to support road construction, education, and healthcare development, separate from federal allocations.

He also commended the Ethiope East APC Chairman, Chief Midwest Iboyitete, for what he described as pragmatic and stabilizing leadership. “Under the leadership of Chief Iboyitete, the APC in Ethiope East has become stronger, more united, and more organized,” he said, applauding the timely inauguration of ward executives across the local government area.

He further thanked leaders and members of APC Ward 6 Kokori for their resilience, unity of purpose, and dedication to strengthening the party at the grassroots level. Special recognition was given to Chief James Omeru, whom Oghenesivbe praised for his recent empowerment initiatives.

According to him, Omeru has distributed over ₦50 million in support for youth and women within the last three weeks, describing the gesture as a significant contribution toward community development and party cohesion.

The Bureau Chief also acknowledged the contributions of several other party leaders, including Chief (Barr.) G. S. Avwunudiogba, Rt. Hon. Sunny Akpodiogaga Emeyese, Chief Faith Majemite, Chief Sunday Omovie, and Chief Sunday Umunade, among others.

He described them as “pillars of strength and stability” whose collective efforts continue to shape a stronger and more united APC in Ward 6 and beyond.
