2027 Governorship: Nasarawa Speaker Urges APC Loyalty, Patience Ahead of Primaries

The Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Dr. Danladi Jatau, has called on stakeholders and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state to exercise absolute loyalty, patience, and unity by awaiting directives from Governor Abdullahi Sule on the party’s primaries for the 2027 governorship election, emphasizing that the governor’s choice for his successor must be collectively embraced to ensure continuity and consolidation of gains.

Speaking during a Ramadan Iftar and prayer session organized in his honour by the Karu Solidarity Movement for Jatau at his residence in Garaku, Kokona Local Government Area, the state’s number three citizen praised Governor Sule’s performance, urging party faithful to rally behind him maximally as he has delivered on their expectations, and specifically appealed that “the direction of Engr. A.A. Sule on who he will bring to succeed him should be our collective direction,” adding, “This is because all that we want, Engr. A.A. Sule has done it for us and we need to support whom he wants to succeed him in 2027 for consolidation.”

Dr. Jatau, who also serves as the National Deputy Chairman (North) of the Nigeria Conference of Speakers, expressed profound gratitude to the organizers and attendees for the Iftar, which drew APC chairmen and ward chairmen from the Karu/Keffi/Kokona federal constituency, including Pastor Benjamin Baka, former Secretary of the Teachers Service Commission; Mr. Lawal Moroa, Special Adviser to Governor Sule on ICT; and the Administrator of Agwada Area Administrative Council, among other dignitaries.
