Nasarawa Speaker Felicitates with Muslims on Ramadan Fast Completion, Sallah, Urges Sober Reflection, Fervent Prayers
The Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau, Ph.D, has felicitated with Muslims in the state and across the country on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast and the celebration of this year’s Eid-el-Fitr, urging the faithful to use the period for sober reflection and fervent prayers for the nation.
As Muslims set to mark Sallah tomorrow (Friday), the Speaker congratulated the Muslim Ummah for the spiritual exercise of Ramadan, which he described as a season of sacrifice, piety and renewal of faith, and called on them to sustain the values of discipline, compassion and obedience to God imbibed during the holy month.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Jibrin Gwamna, the Speaker enjoined Muslims and other citizens of Nasarawa State to use the Eid-el-Fitr celebration to pray fervently for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Abdullahi Sule and other leaders at all levels to succeed in the onerous tasks before them.
He noted that Nigeria requires sustained divine intervention to overcome its current challenges, stressing that prayers, patriotism and collective responsibility remain critical in the quest for peace, unity and development of the country and Nasarawa State in particular.

Jatau underscored the significance of the Eid-el-Fitr festival, which comes after the month-long Ramadan fast, saying the period should be devoted to sober reflection, love, understanding, selflessness and sacrifice in the interest of national peace, unity and prosperity.
The Speaker, who is the Number Three Citizen of Nasarawa State, urged believers to use the occasion to strengthen their relationship with God and to promote harmonious coexistence with fellow human beings, irrespective of religious, ethnic or political differences.
He particularly appealed to the well-to-do in society to remember and support the less privileged so as to give them a sense of belonging during and after the festivities, adding that true worship finds expression in acts of kindness and generosity to those in need.
While calling on all residents of the state to be law-abiding and remain committed to constituted authorities, Speaker Danladi Jatau wished all Muslims a peaceful, joyous and hitch-free Sallah celebration and prayed that the blessings of Ramadan and Eid-el-Fitr would translate into enduring progress for Nasarawa State and Nigeria at large.
