Kogi PDP Dismisses Ward Incitement Plot, Reaffirms Gambo as Authentic Chairman
The Kogi State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has firmly dismissed what it described as a futile attempt by mischief-makers to incite party members in Mozum Ward, declaring all such actions null, void and of no effect whatsoever, while reaffirming the unassailable position of Hon. Muhammed Sanni Gambo as the legitimately elected state chairman.
In a statement issued by Abu Michael, Media Adviser to the PDP Chairman, the party lambasted the alleged maneuvers by some yet-to-be-inaugurated Ward Executives as a brazen violation of the PDP constitution, underscoring that no such group has any authority to act on behalf of the party at this stage.
The statement, which has since gone viral across party platforms, announced the immediate constitution of a high-powered investigative committee tasked with probing the circumstances surrounding the incitement and recommending appropriate disciplinary measures against all culprits involved, no matter how highly placed they may be.
It particularly urged party faithful, stakeholders and the general public to completely disregard any misinformation or propaganda being peddled by these elements, insisting that Hon. Gambo’s leadership remains rock-solid and unchallenged, with not a single petition or grievance lodged against him since assuming office.
Under Gambo’s exemplary stewardship, the statement highlighted, the Kogi PDP has recorded remarkable strides in unity, membership drive and electoral preparations, crediting his inclusive approach for the party’s steady growth and resilience amid political turbulence.
Pointing fingers at the architects of the plot, the PDP statement singled out a former lawmaker who has since decamped to the All Progressives Congress (APC), alongside a cabal of disgruntled elements nursing personal grudges, as the baseless forces behind this desperate bid to derail the party’s momentum ahead of crucial elections.
These individuals, it alleged, are acting out of sheer envy and frustration over Gambo’s popularity and effectiveness, resorting to cheap tactics that can only backfire on them.
