Toto Tragedy: Yahaya Idris Condoles Lawmaker Isimbabi, Toto Community After Fatal Road Accident
A media personality, Yahaya Idris, has extended his condolences to Mohammed Garba Isimbabi, the member representing Toto/Gadabuke Constituency in the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, as well as to the bereaved families and the Toto community following a fatal road accident that claimed the lives of two constituents.

The victims were reportedly travelling alongside the lawmaker on a condolence visit to Gadabuke District when the incident occurred.
Idris described the development as deeply unfortunate, lamenting the loss of lives and injuries sustained by others.
According to reports, the accident took place on 3 April 2026 at about 5:30 p.m. along the Majaga–Kuru road in Toto District.
The collision involved two vehicles: a Golf car conveying fresh peppers driven by deceased Mallam Yahaya, and a Golf Vento carrying aides and supporters of the lawmaker, driven another deceased Mallam Umar Usman Bichi.
The crash resulted in a fatal outcome, leaving families and the wider community in mourning.
Late Mallam Yahaya, who was alone in his vehicle, died instantly at the scene, while the second driver, Umar Usman Bichi, succumbed to his injuries approximately one and a half hours later.
Other occupants of the vehicle conveying the lawmaker’s aides and supporters included Nuru Isha Kwanaki, Muktar Abdul, Haruna Ibrahim Adebayo, and Mohammed Ogate, who is currently receiving treatment at the Specialist Hospital in Gwagwalada, FCT.

Meanwhile, the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial aspirant in Nasarawa State for the 2027 elections, Dr. Musa Muhammed Maikaya, has extended profound condolences to the families of the deceased.

He attended the interment of supporter who lost his life during the sad occurrence and visited the injured at the hospital to offer his support.
Idris prayed for the repose of the souls of the deceased, asking that they be granted Aljannah Fidaus.
He also expressed hope that the families left behind would find comfort in this difficult time, and urged that Mohammed Garba Isimbabi be granted the strength and fortitude to bear what he described as an irreparable loss.
