Maikaya Consults Widely Ahead of APC Primaries, Pledges People-Centred Governance
A frontline governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State, Alhaji (Dr) Musa Muhammed Maikaya, has said he is currently consulting across the state as part of preparations for the party’s primaries ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Maikaya, who is also the Chief Executive Officer of the Maikaya Development Foundation (MDF), reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with the people, noting that such collaboration would not only strengthen his aspiration but also build trust and inclusiveness in governance.
Speaking with journalists in Lafia, the state capital, the APC chieftain stressed that the people remain central to any electoral success. He added that his vision and mission are designed to add value and accelerate the development of the state.
According to him, his ongoing consultations cut across stakeholders and grassroots communities, including the less privileged, as he seeks to understand the needs and expectations of the people.

The geologist-turned-politician further noted that his tour across the state has given him firsthand insight into the achievements of the incumbent governor, Abdullahi Sule, over the past seven years.
He commended the governor’s performance, stating that the progress recorded under the current administration has provided a solid foundation that would enable his successor to fast-track development in the state.
