Stakeholders in Nasarawa Central under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have thrown their weight behind House of Representatives aspirant, Ibrahim Abdullahi Aibro, citing his consistency and grassroots contributions as key factors.
Aibro, who is seeking to represent Nasarawa/Toto Federal Constituency in the 2027 general elections, recently embarked on a consultative tour of stakeholders and elders across the seven electoral wards in Nasarawa Central, as part of efforts to secure the party’s ticket.
The aspirant, who previously contested in 2019, met with the Nasarawa District Elders Forum led by Abdullahi Ashafa.
The meeting was attended by representatives from Nasarawa North, East, Central, Main Town, Ara I, Ara II, and Laminga wards.
Speaking on behalf of the forum, Alhaji Abdullahi Ashafa said Aibro has remained steadfast in his political pursuit and engagement with the people, even when the odds were unfavourable.
“He has stayed with the people from the beginning, contributing meaningfully to their wellbeing. His consistency and commitment have earned him our confidence,” the elders stated.
The forum further assured the aspirant of its support, pledging to mobilise grassroots support to enhance his chances of emerging victorious at the APC primaries.
The elders also called on party members and residents of Nasarawa/Toto to unite and adopt Aibro as a consensus candidate.
The elders, while welcoming Aibro and his entourage, commended his humility and respect for traditional institutions, urging all aspirants to uphold the values of peace, maturity, and service to the people.
Earlier in his remarks, Hon. Ibrahim Abdullahi Aibro thanked the party’s elders and stakeholders for their usual support and hospitality towards him and his team.
The APC aspirant explained the importance of elders in shaping political direction, noting that no meaningful leadership journey can succeed without their guidance and blessings.
He reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive consultation, assuring the elders that their counsel would remain central to his decisions and vision for the constituency.
