Kogi Entertainer Mudely to Honour Gov Ododo with Album, Reveal ‘Who is Bashir Gegu’ at Event

A popular Egbira entertainer, Ibrahim Mudely, has announced plans to launch the first music album in honour of Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, as part of efforts to highlight his administration’s achievements.
Mudely disclosed this on Sunday while speaking with journalists in Lokoja, noting that the event is scheduled to hold in Gegu Beki, on 19th April 2026 under the auspices of the 4G Network.
He added that the occasion will also feature a special segment aimed at unveiling the profile and contributions of Mohammed Abubakar Bashir Gegu, the Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources within the political landscape of Kogi State.
According to the entertainer, arrangements for the event have reached an advanced stage, with prominent personalities expected to grace the occasion.
The Executive Chairman of the Kogi State Civil Service Commission, Barr. Muhammed Tanko Osuku, is billed to serve as the guest speaker.
The statement further stated that the Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engr. Mohammed Abubakar Bashir Gegu will also serve as Chief Launcher at the occasion
Mudely explained that the album is designed to showcase Governor Ododo’s developmental strides over the past three years, as well as the contributions of key political appointees from Kogi Local Government Area.
He noted that the Egbira people, particularly those from Kogi Local Government in Kogi West Senatorial District, have expressed appreciation for the governor’s inclusive governance style, which he said has strengthened their participation in the current administration.
The entertainer further stated that there is growing consensus among stakeholders in Kogi Local Government Area to support Governor Ododo’s bid for a second term, citing infrastructural development and governance efforts across the state.
The event is expected to attract political stakeholders, cultural figures, and supporters from across the state.
All elected officials, political appointees, APC supporters and entertainers from within and outside Kogi LG are expected to grace the occasion
