2027: Aibro Gains Grassroots Momentum, Udege Youths, Women Adopt Him as APC Sole Reps Candidate

Hon. Ibrahim Abdullahi Aibro, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and House of Representatives aspirant for Nasarawa/Toto Federal Constituency, is gaining increasing grassroots support as youths and women in Udege Area Administrative Council have adopted him as their sole candidate ahead of the party primaries.
In a political climate where many aspirants seek endorsements from elite and diaspora groups, Abdullahi Ibrahim Aibro has taken a different approach by engaging directly with communities at the grassroots level, presenting his vision and seeking the people’s mandate.
As part of his ongoing consultations across Nasarawa Local Government Area, the APC stalwart recently visited Udege, where he was conferred with the traditional title of “Ulolo” (The Reminder) by the Council of Chiefs in recognition of his contributions and connection to the people.
During the visit, a coalition of youth groups, in collaboration with the APC Youth Council in Udege, formally endorsed Aibro as their preferred candidate for the House of Representatives seat.
The endorsement event, which attracted a large turnout of party supporters and community stakeholders, highlighted the growing acceptance of Aibro’s candidacy across the constituency.
Speaking at the occasion, Aibro, who was accompanied by his wife and supporters and campaign team expressed gratitude to the traditional rulers, youth leaders, and residents for the honour and confidence reposed in him.
He reaffirmed his commitment to delivering purposeful and people-oriented representation if elected, pledging to prioritise youth empowerment, community development, and transparent leadership.
Global Times Nigeria reports that the endorsement and conferment of a traditional title signal a significant boost to Aibro’s political fortunes, as support continues to build across Nasarawa/Toto Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections.
