5000 Monthly Stipend: NSSIP Office Begin Second Payment In Wamba, Akwanga And Nasarawa Eggon LGAs.
As part of efforts to reduce or completely nip in the bud high rate of poverty in the State, the Office of the Nasarawa State Social Investment Programme (NSSIP), State Focal Person and Senior Special Assistant On Humanitarian Affairs to Governor Abdullahi A. Sule, Hon Imran Usman Jibrin, on Monday, 31st May, 2021 commenced the second Batch payment of 5000 naira monthly stipend (popularly known as “Kudin Abdullahi. A Sule”) large beneficiaries of the State Conditional Cash Transfer Programme (NASCCTP) in Wamba, Akwanga and Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Areas of the state.
The special support grant is a programs design and initiated by Governor Abdullahi A. Sule to reduced poverty rate in the State inline with missions of central Government of Nigeria led by President Muhammadu Buhari.
According to the Focal Person, the programme which involves the payment of N5000 monthly stipends to the beneficiaries across the 1,495 pulling units in the 13 LGAs of the state is the intervention of the Governor Abdullahi A. Sule’s led administration aimed at assisting the poor and vulnerable households in the state.
The three LGAs namely Nasarawa Eggon, Wamba and Akwanga has received their second phase of disbursement just as other LGAs equally does.
While thanking Governor Abdullahi A. Sule for his visionary leadership, Hon Imran said the governor is committed to alleviating the plight of the people especially the poor and vulnerable in the state.
The exercise which witnessed an outflowing of panegyrics from the beneficiaries who could not hold back their tears of joy in appreciation of the gesture, thanked Governor Abdullahi A Sule for his humanitarian gesture.
Some of the beneficiary who spoke to Global Time Nigeria correspondent commended the efforts of Hon. Imran Jibrin Usman for his sincerity and commitment towards ensuring the program succeed and leave above board.
It would be recalled that in March, 2021, Governor Sule flagged-off the State Cash Transfer Programme in Lafia aimed at improving the living conditions of the poor and the vulnerable people in the state
