7 years anniversary: Vice chair Olamaboro, Hon. Blessing Ekele felicitates governor Bello, others

The Vice Chairman of Olamaboro local government of Kogi state, Hon. (Mrs) Blessing Aishat Ekele has congratulated Governor Yahaya Bello and his new direction team as his administration clocks seven years in the state with fanfares.

Hon. Ekele disclosed this in Lokoja on Friday in a statement to newsmen, saying that it was seven years with harvest of legacy projects which had brought a new order and narratives to the people of the state.

She described the seven years of governor Bello as a watershed in the annal of the state and the people of Olamaboro LGA , stressing that the landmark achievements which spread across the state touches the life of good people of Olamaboro deeply.

“This seven years of his Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello would ever remain evergreen in the memory of Olamaboro citizens, particularly the good people of Igah, where the traditional stool of our paramount ruler, Ojibo Igah, HRH, Onuche Shaibu was graded to 2nd class chief by governor Yahaya Bello after many years of endless struggle to that effect.

“Alot of malicious people used the grading issue of the paramount ruler of Igah to play on the intelligent of our forefathers, steals the resources of our people, including swindling our people of their hard earned money for many years before Alhaji Yahaya Bello emerged in the corridor of power and graded Ojibo Igah on a platter of gold.

“This singular act will ever endeared governor Bello to the heart of the people of Olamaboro LGA. Suffice to say, Our forefathers.fought for the upgrade of the stool endlessly, but failed until governor Bello appeared on the political turf of Kogi and broke the jinx for us.

“Your Excellency, we appreciate you . We thank you, and may you continue to soar higher and higher politically, economically and socially in many years ahead”, she said.

The magajia 1 of Uke kingdom in Nassarawa state added that beside the present administration remembering IGAH chiefdom, governor Bello stuffed the sons and daughters of Olamaboro in his government, making the citizens of the region to be more relevant in the scheme of things in the state.

She added that governor Bello’s coming into the corridor of power in the state has made alot of Igah sons and daughters relevant in the affairs of the state for these seven years , as many of them were appointed to one position of trust or the other in his administration.

“Before now, no son or daughter of the area would be considered for such position in the state or at the council, she said.”.

Also, the vice chairman commended Chief Edward Onoja, the state Deputy governor whom she said stood solidly behind governor Bello all this while .

“Chief Onoja had proved himself as a worthy son of the land of Olamaboro by his unalloyed support to his principal. We thanked him, for proving a point of loyalty and consistency for this seven years”, she said.

While the Vice Chairman commended the Paramount of ruler of Igah, HRH Onuche Shaibu for his fatherly role which has brought peace to the areas, she thanked the people of Olamaboro for their cooperation and unalloyed support to the present administration for these seven great years.
