Just in: Again, Olamaboro LG Chair constitutes Taskforce On Environmental Sanitation
The Olamaboro Local Government, Transition Committee Chairman, TCC, Hon Ameh Williams has inaugurated task force on Environmental Sanitation. The committee which is a monitoring body to ensure that environmental laws and regulations are adhered to.
Addressing The Committee Members during the inauguration ceremony at the council Secretariat Okpo, the transition Committee chairman Comr Ameh Williams enjoined them to take ownership of the environment by ensuring the Environmental Sanitation Laws of the LG are upheld by residents.
Comr Williams said the expectation of Government is that the LG will be cleaner and healthy for living and doing business, adding that there will be zero tolerance for extortion and corruption, as anyone caught will be made to face the full wrath of the law.
The deputy HOD health, Mrs. Eleojo Peter appreciated the CTC for promoting cleanliness, enjoining members to only apprehend environmental law offenders in order to ensure that the aim of setting up the Committee is achieved.
Special Assistant On Environmental Hon Simone Obaje Otalu, advised the Committee members to dutifully and diligently execute their duties by identifying offenders and handing them over to the appropriate law enforcement agents for further actions and prosecution.
