There’s no gainsaying the fact that the desire of Chief Augunus Ugochukwu to become executive chairman of Ezinihitte Local Government Area of Imo state is shrouded on rendering genuine service to the people irrespective of party leanings. And his entry in the Ezinihitte local government chairmanship race under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has given credence to the collective resolve of Ezinihitte people that come September 21 2024 Imo LGA election, it will cease to be business as usual, wherein their destinies will be mortgaged by those elected into political office.

Miffed by failure of past successive administrations to show leadership capacities and performances in Ezinihitte local government, the electorates have resolved to rewrite the ugly narratives, and formally endorsed Chief Uche Augunus Ugochukwu (Akurulo) as the best among the equal, for the plum job.

They also attested that the major dominant political parties, such as the All Progressives Congress (APC), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Nigeria, have failed in all indices of democratic governance.

These parties and their governments had left the masses to wallow in abject hardship and penury because of obvious failure of those elected in executive and legislature arms, to come up with development-oriented polices, programmes, and as well, laws, gear towards improving the economy, infrastructure, and as well as ending insecurities ravaging most parts of Nigeria.

It has been affirmed that Chief Uche Augunus Ugochukwu’s chairmanship bid has elicited hope in the minds of Imo people for actualization of an economically and infrastructurally stable Ezinihitte, wherein every citizens of the local government council area will access basic developmental amenities towards enhancing their standard of living.

As Imo Local government council election slated on 21st September, 2024 by the Imo State Independent Electoral Commission (ISIEC) approaches, eligible voters in Ezinihitte local area had equally resolved to queue behind the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and Chief Uche Augunus Ugochukwu (Akurulo) for Ezinihitte LG chairmanship seat in the forthcoming local council poll in the state.

Chief Uche Augunus Ugochukwu (Akurulo) possessed the requisite leadership capacity, acumen and expertises to deliver the plum job if elected as Executive Chairman of Ezinihitte Local Government Area come September 21. He is nobody’s stooge or godson. His ambition is driven by genuine passion to provide better place for Ezinihitte people irrespective of ethnic and political affiliations.

While reeling out his lofty plans for Ezinihitte local Government Area when elected in next month’s local council poll during interactive session with a cross section of imo electorates, Chief Uche Augunus Ugochukwu (Akurulo), promised to initiate genuine development in Ezinihitte, and create jobs for teeming youths, men and women to become self-reliable, dependent, and productive to the society.

He promised to be listening servant-leader, and fight and protect the interest of his people when elected as Executive Chairman of Ezinihitte Local Government Council Area come September 21 election by the State Electoral Commission.
