….Counsels Toto Contingents against discouragement in light of 1-1 stalemate with Keffi
The Toto local government council Chairman, Hon Aliyu Abdullahi Tashas is thrilled by the impressive performance and results of Team Toto, participating in the ongoing Nasarawa Governor’s Cup tournament in Lafia, the state capital.
Toto engaged Keffi in a match today, notwithstanding the setback of a red card, which should have benefited Keffi, but Toto’s capability and determination enabled them to withstand the pressure and strive for victory.
The council Chairman, in absentia, was represented by his Deputy, Hon. Abubakar Haruna Kwanakis, who led a formidable delegation of appointees, APC leadership, sports enthusiasts, and stakeholders to solidarize with the home team.
The Chairman praised team Toto for their superb performance, although they were unfortunately awarded a red card, which did not undermine their excellent display.
He remarked that while the game resulted in a 1-1 deadlock, an unfortunate consequence, adding that Toto has surpassed Keffi, who had initially capitalized on a red card advantage but failed to achieve a winning outcome.
A press release from the Toto LGC secretariat, signed by Yahaya Idris Toto, Senior Special Assistant for Media and Publicity on Thursday, acknowledged Hon Tashas’ commendation of the State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr Shuaibu Labaran Magaji, APC Chairman, head coach, Committee members, and other supporters who gathered in Lafia to endorse Team Toto.
He encouraged team Toto to remain motivated despite the red card, emphasizing that it’s a normal part of sports, and the 1-1 result shouldn’t discourage them, as they can still adjust their strategy to win the trophy.
He conveyed his congratulations to Team Toto and committed the council’s sustained support during and subsequent to the tournament.
