Attah Igala Shares Insights on Security Situation in Kogi East

His Royal Majesty, Dr. Matthew Alaji Opaluwa Oguche Akpa, CFR, the Igala paramount ruler and President of the Kogi State Council of Traditional Rulers, urges sustained cooperation to protect lives and property within his kingdom.

The Attah reiterated the call during a recent ceremony at his palace, where he officially launched the government’s fertilizer distribution program for farmers in Kogi state.

The Attah restated his plea to the Chief of Army Staff and other security agencies to partner with the traditional council and state government to end banditry and the rampant destruction of farms and villages.

He condemned the rampant killing of law abiding Igala citizens especially in Omala LGA and other parts of the kingdom.

While appreciating timely interventions and the efforts of the state government, he reiterated his call for the citing of a military brigade in Kogi East to compliment already existing units.

The Attah lamented the continued inability of his subjects to go to farm and earn a living to take care of their families.

It will be recalled that the Attah previously visited Abejukolo ,Bagana, Oganenigu and other locations ravaged by the activities of herdsmen and other bandits.
