Olukoyede Probes Bobrisky’s N15 Million Bribery Claims Against EFCC Officials

The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Mr. Ola Olukoyede, has ordered an immediate investigation into bribery allegations made against some Commission officers by Idris Okuneye (also known as Bobrisky) in a viral video circulating nationwide.

Ex-convict Okuneye alleged in a VeryDarkMan (Martins Vincent Otse) video that EFCC officers took N15 million from him in exchange for dropping money laundering charges.

Dele Oyewale, Head of Media and Publicity, announced in a statement dated September 24, 2024, that the EFCC’s boss has constituted an investigative team to examine the allegations. Consequently, Okuneye and Otse are summoned to appear at the Lagos Directorate to aid in the investigation.

The EFCC assures the public of a thorough investigation into the allegations and will publicly disclose the findings.

Born Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju, Bobrisky is a prominent Nigerian social media influencer and a controversial figure known for his gender nonconformity, initially gaining fame through his flamboyant lifestyle and cross-dressing.

Bobrisky often refers to himself as a woman and uses feminine pronouns when engaging with his audience, although he has also suggested that his presentation may be for attention rather than a strict transgender identity.
