As his tenure as Executive Chairman of Toto Local Government Council came to a close, Hon. Abdullahi Aliyu Tashas formally handed over administrative responsibilities to Mallama Maryam Bako, the council’s Acting Director of Personnel Management, today.
Speaking to the large gathering at the council chambers, Hon Tashas conveyed his delight at the event’s attendance, acknowledging his indebtedness to the divine providence for the opportunity to serve, and extending appreciation to His Excellency Engr Abdullahi A Sule, Governor of Nasarawa State, traditional leaders, vital stakeholders, the APC, security agencies, and the residents of Toto Local Government Area, whose collective support made his presence feasible.
Hon Tashas sought pardon for any mistakes made during his term, reciprocating the forgiveness he offered to others. He bid farewell, praying for seamless collaboration with the next administration and wishing they exceed his team’s accomplishments.
In their goodwill messages, Alh. Abdullahi Sheik, a retired former Director of Personnel, and Alh. Ibrahim Salihu, Education Secretary of Gadabuke Development Area, commended Hon. Aquatic for transforming the local government area over the past three years through enhanced security measures, infrastructure development, welfare initiatives, and various other human development endeavors. They offered prayers and well wishes for his future endeavors.
After accepting the handover note, Mallama Maryam Bako, Acting Director of Personnel Management, thanked the chairman for the successful transition, requesting support from all as she temporarily oversees local government council affairs until the new administration takes office, affirming her commitment to upholding service rules and regulations.
