Meanwhile, notable politicians in Nasarawa State gathered in Toto local government to honour Barrister Labaran Shuaibu Magaji, the newly appointed Secretary to the Government of Nasarawa State, described his appointment as well-deserved.
Magaji, a seasoned legal practitioner and former Attorney-General and Commissioner of Justice, was praised for his competence and contributions to the state.
His appointment is part of Governor Abdullahi Sule’s efforts to reposition the state’s government machinery, following the dissolution of the state executive council and the relief of all political appointees. Magaji’s global experience and proven performance are seen as key factors in his selection for this critical role.
The Toto Development Association (TODA) organized an event to celebrate Barrister Labaran Shuaibu Magaji’s appointment as the new Secretary to the Government of Nasarawa State. The event also served as an opportunity to express gratitude to Governor Abdullahi Sule for selecting Magaji for this critical role.
Magaji, with his former tenure as Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, garnered commendation for his comprehensive expertise in law and public service, thereby positioning him as an ideal candidate for the position. His appointment constitutes a crucial aspect of Governor Sule’s efforts to revitalize the state’s government machinery, with a focus on enhanced service delivery.
The Toto Development Association (TODA) recently organized an event to commemorate and express gratitude to Governor Abdullahi Sule for appointing Barrister Labaran Shuaibu Magaji as Secretary to the Government of Nasarawa State.
The appointment was deemed credible, considering Magaji’s impressive track record, as confirmed by TODA President Mohammed Musa Maikaya.
“In less than two years ago, we celebrated one of our own as Attorney general of Nasarawa state, today again we are here again to celebrate him as secretary to Nasarawa state government, this man has been secretary since his teenage year, as assistant, secretary, secretary of Toto students Union and secretary of TODA, this made him to be qualified for the position”.
Nasarawa State APC Chairman, Dr. Aliyu Bello, who chaired the occasion, attributed Magaji’s appointment to his remarkable loyalty, dedication, and commitment to service.
“Labaran Shuaibu Magaji, was appointed based on his dedication and commitment to service. He has entered the book of Nasarawa history, because, he’s the only SSG that been sworn in without announcing his name. People should stop spreading of rumors and fake news”.
On his part, Hon Muhammed Awal, APC chieftain and House of Representatives aspirant due for Toto/Nasarawa federal constituency congratulated Barr. Magaji on his appointment and urged him to work hard to justify the confidence repose on him.
Awal equally appreciated Governor Abduallahi Sule for considering Toto worthy to serve in his cabinet, assuring him of maxim support and cooperation towards promoting his administration’s policies and programmes.
Other dignitaries, including Abdulmumin Ari, Dr. Faisal Shuaibu, and Chairman Adamu Aboki of Kena Local Government Area, echoed similar sentiments, stating that Magaji’s credentials made him a prime candidate for the post of Secretary to Nasarawa State Government, believing that he will fulfill his duties as expected.
In his response, Magaji acknowledged the people of Toto for organizing the event and promised to exert every effort to fulfill his assigned obligations.
“Let me use this opportunity to thank Governor Abdullahi Sule, who has found me worthy for this appointment amongst so many people in the state who are more qualified than me, I will make sure that the conference repose in me is actually advance and I will never fail the people of Nasarawa state”.
