Good Governance Initiative Empowers Over 100 Women in Nasarawa

Nigerian Women for Good Governance, partnering with Bizzyplan, has provided empowerment to over 100 women in Karu Local Government Area, Nasarawa State, by equipping them with grains and other essential items to start their own businesses.
The event, which took place at the NEPA office in Masaka, was designed to foster women’s empowerment and self-reliance.

Mrs. Lois Samuel Audubon, the state coordinator of Nigerian Women for Good Governance, highlighted the crucial role of women’s empowerment, particularly in rural settings.
She appreciated the management of Bizzypay for supporting the project and encouraged women to be courageous and generate income to become self-reliant.
The program plans to expand to all 13 local government areas in Nasarawa State, teaching women how to start and manage their own businesses.
“Women for good governance, is a non governmental, non political organization which formed basically to help women on how to be self reliant through small businesses”.
Dr. Aminu Bizzy, CEO of Bizzypay, highlighted the platform’s innovative approach to providing financial insights and connecting SMEs to micro-lenders.
BizzyPay aims to make financing more accessible and affordable for small businesses, with nearly 80% of previously overlooked businesses now able to access financing.

Some women interviewed, appreciated the women for good governance for bringing succour to them by providing them with grains, groundnut oil, Beans, palm oil, Rice among others things and promised to ensure they remit what they have agreed on.
