Dr. Musa Ahmed Muhammed, the Accountant-General of Nasarawa State, attended the groundbreaking ceremony for FirstBank’s new eco-friendly headquarters on Wednesday. The 40-story building, set to be the tallest in Nigeria, will be located in Eko Atlantic City, Lagos.

Designed with sustainability in mind, the project emphasizes innovation and environmental responsibility, reinforcing FirstBank’s leadership in sustainable banking practices.

Global Times Nigeria reports that FirstBank held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new 40-story eco-friendly headquarters at Eko Atlantic City, Lagos, on March 5, 2025. The building, designed to be Nigeria’s tallest commercial office, will feature advanced, sustainable construction and set a new benchmark for Africa’s financial services sector.

Prominent attendees included President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki, and Femi Otedola, Chairman of FirstHoldCo. Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu granted the project approval and laid the foundation bricks.
