NSUK Holds Matriculation for 7,500 New Students, Supports Fire Disaster Victims

Nasarawa State University, Keffi, marked a significant milestone on March 6, 2025, as 7,500 new students matriculated into various undergraduate programs.
The ceremony began with a grand academic procession, featuring the university’s principal officers and academic staff.
Following the procession, Deans from the university’s eight faculties presented their students from their for Matriculation, plying significant role in ensuring the smooth conduct of the oath-taking ceremony.
Dr. Bala Ahmed, the University’s Registrar, officially welcoming the freshers into the academic community, followed by oath taking, charging the students to be proactive in their academic pursuit.
He advised them to avoid participating in unregistered association or organization, saying anyone caught will be penalized inline with the rules governing the conduct of the University.
In an address, Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Sa’adatu Hassan Liman announced that the university’s management had provided financial support to 15 off-campus students whose homes were ravaged by fire which Each student will receive N50,000 to help alleviate their losses.
Prof. Liman encouraged the new students to explore new ideas, ask questions, and seek knowledge, emphasizing the importance of attending lectures, respecting authorities, and fostering a sense of community among students and staff.

The Vice Chancellor also expressed gratitude to the university’s management for their patience and support during the 2024/2025 academic session registration.
Some of the new students interviewed, appreciated the management of the University for finding them worthy of the admission and promised to give their best to achieve success.
