Olamaboro LG Chairman Williams Distributes Ramadan Food to Muslims across electoral wards, Commends Gov Ododo

In a bid to support Muslims during the holy month of Ramadan, the Executive Chairman of Olamaboro Local Government Council, Hon. Comr. Ameh Williams, alongside his Vice, Hon. Christina Oguche, the Director of the Local Government (DLG) Mr. Garba Nuhu, and the Treasurer, Mr. Joshua Ogbanje, have proactively engaged in the distribution of Ramadan food, under the leadership of Kogi State Governor, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.

Itodo Denis Zak Igọti, CPS to the council chairman, Olamaboro local government, in a statement issued to journalists on 07/03/2025, announced that the distribution exercise, aimed at supporting vulnerable residents during the holy month, was held at the council secretariat to facilitate the delivery of essential food items to those in need.

Report from the Olamaboro local government council Secretariat indicated that the food items have been distributed effectively across the ten (10) wards of the Local Government, including CAN, Elders Advisory Council, Council of Imams & Ulamas, NULGE, NUTRW, NASU, NUT, NIMOTA, Security Agencies, people living with disability and thousands of beneficiaries expressed their joy and appreciation for the relief efforts, acknowledging the commitment of the Ododo’s led administration in standing by the people during this crucial time.

Governor Ododo, Comr Williams, and the entire leadership of Olamaboro LGC have received accolades from residents for their commitment to the welfare of the people, with many describing the initiative as a symbol of true leadership and compassion, and observing, “This is a government that listens and cares for its people.” Others have praised the chairman for ensuring transparency and fairness in the distribution process.

The Ramadan food distribution initiative exemplifies the Kogi State Government’s steadfast dedication to supporting its citizens, particularly during challenging times. As the exercise progresses, the people of Olamaboro remain optimistic and grateful for the efforts undertaken to ensure inclusivity throughout the sacred month of Ramadan.

The event was attended by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Labour Matters, Comr. Onu Edoka, the Supervisory Councillor to the council, Hon. Idenyi Samuel, traditional rulers, ward party chairmen and their executives, women leaders and other dignitaries from across the local government.
