President of Nigeria Weight Lifting Commends Engr. Bashir Gegu’s Impact on Kogi People

Engineer Muhammed Abubakar Bashir Gegu, Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources in Kogi State, has been commended for his unwavering support towards his people and beyond.

Dr. Ibrahim Abdul, President of Nigeria Weight Lifting, Hon. Alhaji Sanusi Maji, Board Member of Kogi Hotel and Tourism Board, and Hon. Abdullahi Ajaka, Special Assistant to the Executive Governor of Kogi State, made these statements today during a courtesy visit to Engineer Muhammed Abubakar Bashir Gegu, Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, at his residence in Gegu, Kogi Local Government Area.

According to Dr. Abdul, their visit to the leader of Kogi LG was to thank and encourage him to sustain his good work for the benefit of his constituents and Kogi State at large, adding that the people of Kogi were lucky to have him as one of their leaders.

Ibrahim Abdul praised Commissioner Gegu for his exceptional performance in both past and present administrations, and urged his constituents, particularly Kogi LG residents, to rally behind Engr. Bashir Gegu to accomplish even more.

“Our presence here in Gegu Beki is aimed at establishing a rapport with the People’s Commissioner and political leader of Kogi LG, who has made notable strides in improving the lives of Kogi State’s people, hence our decision to extend support and solidarity.”

In his response, Engr. Muhammed Abubakar Bashir Gegu thanked his visitors for coming to his community, reassuring them that he would increase his efforts to provide initiatives aimed at improving the wellbeing of his people and beyond.

The Commissioner acknowledged that the former Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, and the current Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, were vital to his successes and ongoing initiatives in the State.
