Phoenix Transition Minerals PTM Supports Educational Development through School Renovation in Kandele, Kokona LGA

Phoenix Transition Minerals (PTM) renovated two blocks of classrooms at Kandele Community in Kokona Local Government Area of Nasarawa State as part of its corporate social responsibility efforts. However, the mining company specifically credited with recent school renovations and construction projects in the area.
The company’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), an American investor, made this announcement while presenting the renovated school to the community.

According to him, despite the company not having commenced full operations, it deemed it necessary to contribute to the community’s development by renovating the school, which was in a dilapidated condition.
The CEO expressed appreciation for the community’s hospitality and conducive environment, which has enabled the company to consider establishing its operations there.
Mr. Lucius Aren Akwashiki, Chief Community Liaison Officer at PTM, stated that the company recognizes education as the bedrock of every community’s development.
Therefore, the renovation of the school aims to provide the community’s children with access to quality education.
The company, an affiliated American entity with a Nigerian indigenous partner, is committed to working towards the community’s progress.
The company has not only renovated the school but also provided basic social amenities such as boreholes and solar-powered streetlights to alleviate the community’s hardships.
Alh. Mustapha Rabo Bako, the Madakin Kandele, and Mr. Emmanuel, the Education Secretary of Kokona Local Government Area, praised PTM’s management for their contributions to the community’s development.

The community leaders promised to provide the necessary support to enable the company to succeed in its objectives.
The community commended PTM for complementing government efforts and prayed for God’s abundant blessings on the company.
The ceremony included with the official presentation of the renovated school and writing materials to the Madakin Kandele by the CEO.
