PDP Stakeholders Poised to Join ADC Despite Nasarawa PDP Denial of Coalition Talks

The stakeholders of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Nasarawa Local Government Area have unanimously resolved to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC) coalition.

It was reported that the Nasarawa State PDP has officially denounced the coalition talks involving the ADC and other political actors, stating that the party remains united and focused on strengthening its base ahead of the 2027 elections.

The PDP leadership in Nasarawa has warned its members against participating in any coalition meetings or alliances with the ADC, emphasizing internal unity and restructuring efforts within the party.

However, despite the official stance, there are reports of some PDP members and notable stakeholders in Nasarawa defecting to the ADC coalition, indicating internal unrest and dissatisfaction within the party ranks.

A former minister in Nasarawa recently left the PDP to join the ADC coalition.

This suggests that while the party leadership rejects the coalition, some individuals at the local level are moving towards the ADC.

In a statement issued on Monday by Media Team, Galadima for Senate, said the resolution was reached during a meeting conveyed in Nasarawa town by the 2023 PDP Senatorial Candidate for Nasarawa West, ESV Dr. Umar Musa Galadima.

Hon. Ibrahim Dogara, 2023 House of Representative candidate for Nasarawa/Toto Federal Constituency, Hon. Ahmed Musa Balarabe, 2023 House of Assembly candidate for Nasarawa Central as well as representatives from all the fifteen electoral wards of the area were in attendance in the meeting.

Dr. Galadima reiterated that that the ADC as it’s now is the only party that can guarantee the real hope to ordinary Nigerians. He called on well meaning Nigerians not to hesitate in joining the rescue movement.
